Tax Senior – Chester (Hybrid)

About the role

We are partnering with a well‑established accountancy practice in Chester to recruit an experienced Tax Senior. The position offers a hybrid working model, client‑facing responsibilities and a clear pathway for professional progression.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of personal and/or corporate tax clients.
• Prepare and review tax computations and returns.
• Act as the primary point of contact for client queries and provide tax advice.
• Assist with complex tax work and advisory projects.
• Review junior staff work, offering guidance and support.
• Ensure compliance deadlines are met accurately and on time.
• Stay up‑to‑date with changes in tax legislation and best practice.

Required profile

• Previous experience in a tax role within an accountancy practice.
• Part‑qualified or qualified ACA / ACCA / CTA (or equivalent).
• Strong technical knowledge of personal and/or corporate tax.
• Confident communicator with a client‑focused mindset.
• Experience reviewing work and supporting junior team members.
• Well‑organised with the ability to manage multiple deadlines.
