Tax Senior – Corporate Tax

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Tax Senior to join a leading accountancy practice in Wirral. You will work with a diverse portfolio of SME and corporate clients, developing technical expertise and contributing to advisory projects.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of corporate tax clients across multiple sectors.
• Prepare and review corporation tax computations and returns.
• Support tax planning and advisory work, including restructures, group reorganisations, R&D claims, capital allowances, and shareholder planning.
• Identify tax‑saving opportunities and provide proactive advice.
• Assist with HMRC enquiries and correspondence.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships.
• Mentor junior tax team members.
• Stay up‑to‑date with changes in tax legislation and compliance requirements.

Required profile

• ACA, ACCA, ATT or CTA qualified/part‑qualified, or qualified by experience.
• Previous corporate tax experience within an accountancy practice.
• Strong technical knowledge of corporation tax compliance.
• Excellent communication and client‑facing skills.
• Organised with the ability to manage multiple deadlines.
• Ambitious and motivated to progress within a growing firm.
