Tax Senior

About the role

The firm is a well‑established independent Chartered Accountants practice in Hampshire, looking for a Tax Senior to join its growing team. You will work with a diverse client base, from owner‑managed businesses to larger corporates, delivering proactive tax advice and compliance services.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of personal tax clients, ensuring accurate and timely compliance with HMRC requirements.
• Support complex tax planning assignments, collaborating with senior colleagues to provide tailored advice.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships, acting as a primary point of contact.
• Review work completed by junior team members and support their development.
• Meet deadlines across multiple assignments and contribute to process improvements.

Required profile

• Proven experience in a professional practice environment with a focus on personal tax.
• ATT or CTA qualified (or part‑qualified).
• Strong technical knowledge and ability to communicate effectively with clients.
• Commercially minded, proactive, and able to add value beyond compliance.
• Well‑organised, detail‑oriented, and capable of handling a varied workload.
