About the role

We are seeking a motivated Tax Trainee to join a well‑established accountancy practice in Glasgow City Centre. This permanent, full‑time position offers hands‑on experience across a wide range of tax matters while you work towards a recognised professional qualification with full study support. You will work closely with experienced tax professionals, gaining exposure to a diverse client portfolio.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in preparing personal and business tax returns.
• Support tax compliance work for a varied client base.
• Liaise with HMRC on client queries and tax matters.
• Contribute to tax planning projects and advisory work.
• Prepare supporting documentation and maintain accurate client records.
• Build strong relationships with clients and colleagues.
• Stay up‑to‑date with UK tax legislation and regulatory changes.

Required profile

• Degree in Accounting, Finance, Law, Business or related field, or relevant experience in an accountancy practice.
• Genuine interest in developing a career in tax.
• Excellent attention to detail and strong organisational abilities.
• Professional communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.
