Tax Trainee

About the role

As a Tax Trainee at Affinia, you will join a growing team delivering high‑quality tax services to a diverse client base, from individuals to businesses across multiple sectors. You will support clients in meeting their reporting obligations, managing tax positions and reducing exposure while studying for the ATT or CTA qualification, which the firm will fully fund.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with the preparation of tax returns and related documentation.
• Help clients stay compliant with their reporting obligations.
• Support the management of tax positions and mitigation of tax exposure.
• Observe best practice and learn from senior team members.
• Carry out tasks appropriate to your level of ability and understanding.

Required profile

• Currently studying for the ATT or CTA qualification (or planning to).
• Eagerness to learn and develop technical tax knowledge.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team.
• Willingness to work in a hybrid model, combining office, client premises and college time.
