About the role
Join Bird & Blend Tea Co. in Camden to create a fun, interactive customer experience by mixing tea‑based drinks and sharing the brand’s story. This part‑time, temporary position involves retail duties, sampling, and supporting store events.
Key responsibilities
- Use enthusiasm for the brand to drive sales and meet store targets.
- Handle till transactions accurately and efficiently.
- Follow store procedures for deliveries, stocktakes, and replenishment while keeping the stockroom organised.
- Maintain a safe, tidy work environment in line with health‑and‑safety best practices.
- Support sustainability goals as a B‑Corp certified business.
- Assist the store management team with teamwork‑focused tasks.
- Become an expert on all products, drinks, and the company’s ethical commitments.
- Greet customers with samples, ensuring a warm and positive interaction.
- Prioritise customer happiness by going the extra mile during each visit.
- Help with store and local events, including evening shifts.
- Promote the brand by sampling teas inside the store, outdoors, and at external events.
Required profile
- Previous customer‑service experience, preferably in retail or hospitality.
- Ability to represent the brand proudly and inspire others.
- Genuine passion for the product and confidence to share it.
- Strong customer‑service skills with the ability to build rapport.
- Professional, fair, and kind attitude toward customers and colleagues.
- Empathy to foster an inclusive and positive environment.
- Flexible availability for varying weekly shifts, weekends and some evenings.
- Commitment to excellence and willingness to go above and beyond for customers.
- Comfortable approaching people with samples both inside and outside the store.
