Teacher – Early Years to KS2

About the role

Upton Grange School is seeking an enthusiastic Teacher to join its Early Years, Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 setting in Slough. The role focuses on delivering creative, learner‑centred lessons for pupils aged 3‑11, many of whom have special educational needs or autism spectrum conditions.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver personalised, creative teaching that meets the varied and complex needs of pupils.
• Adapt the curriculum to individual learning profiles to maximise achievement.
• Foster a safe, respectful and nurturing learning environment.
• Build strong, positive relationships supporting pupils’ academic, social and emotional development.
• Contribute to a robust safeguarding culture where pupils are listened to and involved.
• Collaborate with colleagues to develop innovative learning experiences.
• Engage in ongoing professional development to enhance practice.
• Support the school’s vision of empowering pupils for bright futures.

Required profile

• Passion and experience working with pupils in SEN/ASC settings.
• Calm, engaging and resilient approach to teaching.
• Creativity and innovation in lesson delivery.
• Commitment to helping every pupil reach their full potential.
• Willingness to visit the school during the interview process.
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or Qualified Teacher Learning and Skills (QTLS) and a nationally recognised degree.

Required skills

What we offer

• Up to £52,000 per annum (depending on experience, not pro‑rata).
• 37.5 hours per week, Monday‑Friday, term‑time only.
• Permanent contract with a focus on wellbeing and reduced administrative load.
• Location within a 15‑minute walk from the rail station and good commuter links.
