About the role
Reed Education is partnering with a forward‑thinking secondary school in Leeds to recruit a passionate Teacher of Humanities for the September 2026 start. This full‑time, long‑term position offers the chance to inspire curiosity about history, geography, religion and global issues across Key Stage 3 and 4.
Key responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging Humanities lessons (History, Geography, RE) for a range of abilities.
- Foster critical thinking, discussion and analysis of historical and cultural topics.
- Monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback.
- Create a respectful, open‑minded classroom environment.
- Contribute to enrichment activities and cross‑curricular projects.
Required profile
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- A degree in Humanities or a related subject such as History, Geography or Politics.
- Experience teaching Humanities at secondary level.
- Strong classroom management and communication abilities.
- Genuine passion for helping students understand the world.
