Teacher – SEND Specialist (Autism & Mental Health)

About the role
We are seeking a dedicated Teacher to join the brand‑new Bowersgate School in Wythenshave. You will work with pupils aged 6‑16 who have Autism Spectrum Disorder and Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, helping them achieve academic progress and personal growth.
Key responsibilities
- Plan and deliver differentiated lessons tailored to individual SEND requirements.
- Monitor pupil progress, provide feedback and adjust teaching strategies accordingly.
- Collaborate with in‑house psychologists, teaching assistants and therapy professionals to support holistic development.
- Maintain accurate records and contribute to pupil‑centred Individual Education Plans.
- Promote a safe, inclusive classroom environment that celebrates small victories.
Required profile
- Resilient, compassionate and committed to the wellbeing of young people.
- Experience or strong interest in working with autistic and SEMH pupils.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
