About the role
Hays Education is supporting primary schools across Sheldon and the wider B26 area as they prepare for the new academic year. We are seeking caring, dependable Teaching Assistants to join school life from September 2026.
Key responsibilities
- Work alongside the class teacher to support pupils and ensure an inclusive learning environment.
- Support learning and classroom activities for EYFS, KS1 and KS2.
- Guide small groups through focused tasks and provide individual encouragement.
- Help children develop confidence, independence and positive learning habits.
- Assist with classroom organisation and daily routines.
Required profile
- Experience supporting children in a school, nursery, childcare, youth work or similar setting.
- Genuine enjoyment of helping children learn, grow and feel confident.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work positively within a team.
- Dependable, flexible and proactive, ready to use initiative.
- Hold a Level 2 or Level 3 TA, CACHE, NVQ or equivalent qualification (preferred).
