About the role
We are looking for a Teaching Assistant to join a specialist SEN school in Bletchley. The role supports pupils with complex needs and challenging behaviours in a trauma‑informed environment. It is a temporary‑to‑permanent position starting in September, with a trial day available for candidates.
Key responsibilities
- Build strong, trusting relationships with pupils.
- Support emotional regulation and manage behaviour.
- Adapt learning activities to meet individual needs.
- Collaborate with a multi‑disciplinary team to deliver high‑quality support.
Required profile
- Experience in residential childcare, SEMH, autism, or therapeutic/trauma‑informed settings.
- Ability to work effectively within a specialist classroom.
- Commitment to the school’s trauma‑informed practice.
