Teaching Assistant – Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS)

About the role
This full‑time position supports Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) pupils in a primary school in Denton, Tameside. Working closely with the class teacher, the assistant helps deliver engaging activities and ensures an inclusive environment for all children.
Key responsibilities
- Assist the class teacher in planning and delivering EYFS lessons.
- Provide one‑to‑one and small‑group support, particularly for children with SEND.
- Help maintain a safe, nurturing classroom atmosphere.
- Monitor pupil progress and report observations to the teacher.
- Prepare resources and assist with classroom organisation.
Required profile
- Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (essential).
- Experience working with children who have Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (desirable).
- Compassionate, proactive attitude and a genuine desire to support young learners.
Required skills
- No specific technical skills are required.
