Teaching Assistant – EYFS Level 3 (Primary School)

About the role

A welcoming and inclusive primary school in Tower Hamlets, East London is seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant on a permanent, full‑time basis. You will support pupils across the classroom, working alongside experienced teachers to help children achieve their full potential.

Key responsibilities

• Support teaching and learning across the classroom
• Work with pupils on a 1:1 basis and in small groups
• Assist with lesson preparation and classroom organisation
• Support pupils' academic, social, and emotional development
• Encourage positive behaviour and active participation in lessons
• Collaborate with teachers and support staff to meet individual pupil needs
• Help create a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment

Required profile

• GCSE English & Maths (Grade C/4 or above)
• Experience working with children in a school, childcare, or similar setting
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Positive, patient, and enthusiastic approach
• Desirable: previous Teaching Assistant experience, knowledge of SEN and intervention support, Level 2 or Level 3 TA qualification, degree in Education, Psychology or related subject
