Teaching Assistant – Flexible School Support

About the role

Join a network of primary and secondary schools in Middlesbrough as a Teaching Assistant. You will work directly with teachers and pupils, gaining hands‑on experience across a variety of classroom settings while supporting inclusive learning.

Key responsibilities

• Provide one‑to‑one or small‑group support to pupils.
• Assist teachers with lesson planning and delivery.
• Help manage classroom behaviour and maintain a positive learning environment.
• Support students with Special Educational Needs (SEN).
• Contribute to creating an inclusive and engaging classroom atmosphere.

Required profile

• Experience working with children or young people in any setting.
• Positive, adaptable and proactive attitude.
• Valid DBS check on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.
• Two professional references covering the past two years.
• Genuine passion for supporting young learners.
