Teaching Assistant for Neurodivergent Students (London)

About the role
We are seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join an outstanding independent school in North London. The role focuses on supporting neurodivergent pupils aged 7‑19, primarily those with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD).
Key responsibilities
- Provide one‑to‑one or small‑group academic support to students with ASD, ADHD and related needs.
- Promote an inclusive classroom atmosphere and offer emotional support when required.
- Implement behaviour management strategies and positive reinforcement techniques.
- Assist with lesson planning, delivery and classroom organisation.
- Follow safeguarding policies to ensure student safety and well‑being.
Required profile
- Right to work in the UK and a current DBS check.
- Previous experience as a teaching assistant, preferably with neurodivergent learners.
- Understanding of ASD and the ability to engage confidently with students.
- Patient, proactive attitude and capacity to work under pressure.
