About the role

We are seeking an enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in Oldham. The role supports children across Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2, with a particular focus on pupils with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND). This is a full‑time, on‑site position starting as soon as possible.

Key responsibilities

Assist the class teacher in delivering inclusive and engaging lessons.
Provide targeted support to SEND pupils, helping them access the curriculum.
Help maintain a safe, nurturing classroom environment.
Support classroom organisation, including preparation of learning materials.

Required profile

Passionate about supporting children’s development.
Compassionate, proactive, and reliable.
Experience with SEND pupils is advantageous but not mandatory.

Required skills

Effective communication with children and staff.
Basic classroom management techniques.
