About the role
We are seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join an outstanding special educational needs (SEN) primary school in North London. You will work closely with pupils who require additional support, either one‑to‑one or in small groups, helping them achieve their full potential.
Key responsibilities
- Support students with learning difficulties, complex needs, ASD and challenging behaviour.
- Provide academic assistance individually or in small groups.
- Promote a positive, inclusive classroom culture and offer emotional support.
- Implement behaviour management and positive reinforcement techniques.
- Assist with lesson planning and delivery.
- Follow safeguarding policies to ensure student safety and wellbeing.
Required profile
- Right to work in the UK.
- Current, clear DBS check.
- Previous experience as a teaching assistant.
- Patient, kind attitude with a passion for supporting SEN students.
