About the role
Academics is recruiting a Teaching Assistant to join a client school in Ashford from September. This full‑time, five‑day‑a‑week position supports the class teacher and helps create a positive, engaging and inclusive learning environment.
Key responsibilities
- Support the class teacher with day‑to‑day classroom activities.
- Work with pupils on a 1:1 basis and in small groups as required.
- Provide additional support to children with a range of learning needs.
- Help promote positive behaviour and engagement.
- Build strong relationships with pupils, staff and parents.
Required profile
- Previous experience working with children or young people.
- Enthusiastic, patient and passionate about supporting children’s education.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Available to work five days per week from September.
- Holds an active DBS on the Update Service or willing to obtain one through Academics.
