Teaching Assistant – Full‑time Primary Schools in East London

About the role

We are seeking enthusiastic Teaching Assistants to support pupils across primary schools in East London, particularly in Newham and surrounding boroughs. This full‑time, long‑term position offers the chance to work directly with children, helping them achieve their learning goals in a supportive classroom environment.

Key responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 and small‑group support to pupils during lessons.
• Assist teachers with lesson delivery, classroom management, and resource preparation.
• Help pupils stay engaged, make progress, and develop confidence.
• Support children with diverse academic, behavioural, and additional learning needs.
• Promote a safe, inclusive, and positive learning atmosphere.

Required profile

• Experience working with children or young people (school experience desirable but not essential).
• Positive, patient, proactive attitude with strong communication skills.
• Reliability, professionalism, and a willingness to learn.
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.
