Teaching Assistant – Full‑time, September Start

About the role

We are seeking a proactive and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join an inspirational primary school in Newcastle from September. The role is full‑time and runs until July 2027, supporting pupils with a range of special educational needs and challenging behaviour.

Key responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 and small‑group support to pupils with SEN (ASD, ADHD, SEMH, MLD, PMLD).
• Deliver targeted intervention sessions to enhance understanding and progress.
• Collaborate closely with class teachers to tailor support to individual learning styles.
• Assist during breaktimes and lunchtimes as required.

Required profile

• Level 3 Supporting Teaching and Learning (desired).
• Experience working with children in UK schools.
• Positive, resilient and proactive attitude.
• Right to work in the UK and an enhanced DBS certificate (or willingness to obtain).
• Two professional child‑related references covering the last two years.
