Teaching Assistant – Immediate Start, Summer & Beyond

About the role

We are seeking Teaching Assistants to support schools in the North West England region, with immediate placements available now and continuing through the summer term and beyond. The role offers flexible hours, from one day a week to full‑time, across a variety of settings including EYFS, Nursery and mainstream classrooms.

Key responsibilities

• Provide one‑to‑one or small‑group support to pupils, including intervention and HLTA duties.
• Assist teachers with lesson preparation, classroom management and resource organisation.
• Support inclusion strategies and help with behavioural guidance.
• Cover temporary or supply gaps and, where required, step into longer‑term placements.

Required profile

• Experience as a Teaching Assistant or a genuine interest in starting a career in education.
• Availability to work immediately, with flexibility for part‑time or full‑time schedules.
• Willingness to undergo a DBS check and complete at least 28 days of work before reimbursement.

Required skills

• Basic understanding of child development and classroom support techniques.
• Ability to follow safeguarding procedures and maintain confidentiality.
