About the role
Prospero Teaching is partnering with primary and secondary schools across East London to recruit enthusiastic Teaching Assistants starting in September 2026. You will work directly in classrooms, supporting teachers and helping pupils achieve their learning goals.
Key responsibilities
- Assist teachers with lesson preparation and delivery.
- Provide one‑to‑one or small‑group support for pupils, including those with special educational needs.
- Help maintain a safe, inclusive and well‑managed classroom environment.
- Monitor pupil progress and report observations to the teaching team.
- Support behaviour management and promote positive student welfare.
Required profile
- Previous experience working with children or young people in a school or similar setting (desirable).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Patient, positive and proactive attitude.
- Reliability, punctuality and a commitment to student wellbeing.
- Right to work in the UK and willingness to obtain an enhanced DBS check.
Required skills
- No specific technical skills required.
