Teaching Assistant – KS2 Primary School (St Albans)

About the role

We are looking for a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join a friendly KS2 primary school in St Albans. Starting in September 2026, you will work alongside an experienced teacher, supporting pupils in their daily learning and personal development.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the class teacher in delivering engaging and inspiring lessons.
• Work with small groups and individual pupils to build confidence and improve learning outcomes.
• Adapt activities and resources to meet the diverse needs of all children.
• Promote positive behaviour and help maintain a safe, inclusive classroom environment.
• Celebrate achievements and support the social and emotional development of pupils.

• Strong communicator who enjoys teamwork.
• Adaptable and able to support a range of learning needs.
• Experience in education or a strong desire to start a career in schools.
