Teaching Assistant – KS2 Year 5 Support (Temp-to-Perm)

About the role

This full‑time, temporary‑to‑permanent position starts on 2 September and runs through the academic year at a large primary school in Winsford. You will support the class teacher in a Year 5 classroom, delivering one‑to‑one and small‑group assistance to encourage positive engagement and learning.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the class teacher with daily lesson delivery and classroom management.
• Provide targeted one‑to‑one support for pupils who need additional help.
• Facilitate small‑group activities to reinforce key concepts.
• Help maintain a safe and inclusive learning environment.

Required profile

• Level 3 teaching assistant qualification.
• Commitment to work the full academic year.
• Proof of right to work in the UK (passport or birth certificate).
• CV covering the last ten years of education or employment.
• Enhanced DBS certificate or willingness to obtain one (cost reimbursed).

Required skills

• Ability to support classroom teaching and manage small groups.
• Strong communication with pupils and staff.
