Teaching Assistant - KS3 SEMH Provision

About the role
We are looking for a confident and resilient Teaching Assistant to join a specialist KS3 SEMH provision in Speke, Liverpool. You will support pupils aged 11‑13 who have social, emotional and mental health needs, helping them engage with learning and achieve positive outcomes.
Key responsibilities
- Support students aged 11‑13 within the classroom and around the school.
- Build strong relationships and promote positive behaviour.
- Assist with learning activities and encourage student engagement.
- Support emotional regulation and social development.
- Work closely with teaching and pastoral staff to provide consistent support.
Required profile
- Experience working with young people, especially in challenging environments.
- Confidence in managing challenging behaviour.
- Background in sports coaching, youth work, mentoring, care or education is highly advantageous.
- Calm under pressure, positive role model, and willing to be fully involved in school life.
