About the role
We are seeking a confident and resilient Teaching Assistant to join a specialist KS4 SEMH provision in Speke. The role supports students aged 14‑16 with social, emotional and mental health needs, helping them engage in learning and achieve positive outcomes.
Key responsibilities
- Support students aged 14‑16 within the classroom and around the school.
- Build strong relationships and promote positive behaviour.
- Assist with learning activities and encourage engagement.
- Support emotional regulation and social development.
- Work closely with teaching and pastoral staff to provide consistent support.
Required profile
- Experience working with young people.
- Confidence managing challenging behaviour.
- Background in sports coaching, youth work, mentoring, care or education (advantageous).
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and act as a positive role model.
- Willingness to become fully involved in school life.
