About the role
We are looking for a compassionate Level 2 Teaching Assistant to join a primary school’s SEND Resource Base in Ashton, Tameside. You will work within a dedicated inclusion team, providing support to pupils with a range of additional needs in a small‑group setting. This long‑term, full‑time position offers the chance to make a real difference to pupils’ education and development.
Key responsibilities
- Provide one‑to‑one or small‑group assistance to SEND pupils in the resource base.
- Support the classroom teacher in implementing individual education plans.
- Monitor and record pupils’ progress and adapt support as needed.
- Promote an inclusive and nurturing learning environment.
- Collaborate with the inclusion team to share best practices and resources.
Required profile
- Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent).
- Experience supporting children with SEND, preferably in a resource base or small‑group setting.
- Patient, empathetic and resilient attitude.
- Commitment to helping pupils reach their full potential.
