Teaching Assistant – Mental Health

About the role
This full‑time Teaching Assistant – Mental Health position supports young people with mental health challenges and special educational needs in a supportive Oxford school. You will work directly with students who have ASD, ADHD, SEMH, complex needs, and learning disabilities, helping them develop confidence, resilience, and essential life skills.
Key responsibilities
- Support students' emotional wellbeing and engagement during lessons.
- Provide one‑to‑one and small‑group assistance as required.
- Promote positive behaviour and emotional‑regulation strategies.
- Encourage social development and confidence building.
- Ensure the safety and wellbeing of all students throughout the school day.
Required profile
- Passion for supporting young people with mental health and special educational needs.
- Experience or strong interest in working with ASD, ADHD, SEMH, or similar profiles.
- Commitment to a nurturing, structured environment.
- Willingness to start ASAP or in September.
