Teaching Assistant – Primary School (Clapham)

About the role

Nurture Education is seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to support a welcoming primary school in Clapham. You will work closely with teachers to help pupils achieve their academic, social and emotional potential.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the class teacher in delivering engaging lessons.
• Work with individual pupils and small groups to reinforce learning.
• Prepare classroom materials and organise learning resources.
• Promote positive behaviour and pupil wellbeing.
• Support pupils with varying learning needs, including SEND.
• Contribute to a nurturing, inclusive learning environment.
• Participate positively in the wider school community.

Required profile

• Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant, Learning Support Assistant or in a school setting.
• Genuine passion for supporting children’s learning and development.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Patient, caring and proactive attitude.
• Ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff.
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.
