Teaching Assistant – Primary School (Gloucester)

About the role

We are looking for a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in Gloucester. The role starts as soon as possible and runs during term time, offering the chance to support young learners in a vibrant classroom environment.

Key responsibilities

• Assist teachers in delivering engaging lessons and classroom activities.
• Provide one‑to‑one and small‑group support to pupils, including those with additional needs.
• Help prepare teaching materials, organise resources and maintain a tidy learning space.
• Promote positive behaviour and contribute to an inclusive atmosphere.
• Support the planning and execution of classroom routines and extracurricular activities.

Required profile

• Genuine passion for education and working with children.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Proactive, enthusiastic and supportive attitude.
• Willingness to obtain an Enhanced DBS check (or already hold one).
