Teaching Assistant – Primary School (Long-term, Full-time)

About the role

We are seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join our inclusive primary school in Havering. The role starts in September 2026 and offers a long‑term, full‑time position where you will support teachers and help children achieve their learning goals.

Key responsibilities

• Assist teachers in delivering engaging lessons.
• Provide targeted support to individual pupils and small groups.
• Help manage classroom behaviour and create a safe learning environment.
• Support pupils with additional learning needs alongside SEN staff.
• Prepare and organise learning materials.
• Monitor pupil progress and report to teachers.
• Collaborate with parents and staff to ensure holistic support.

Required profile

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Caring, positive attitude and genuine passion for children’s education.
• Previous experience in a primary school setting is desirable.
• Willingness to contribute to the wider school community.
