Teaching Assistant – Primary School (North London)

About the role

We are seeking enthusiastic Teaching Assistants to support pupils in primary schools across North London, including Islington, Camden and Haringey. The role involves working one‑to‑one and in small groups to help children engage with lessons and make progress.

Key responsibilities

• Support pupils individually and in small groups during classroom activities.
• Assist teachers with lesson delivery, classroom management and resource preparation.
• Help maintain a safe, inclusive and supportive learning environment.
• Encourage confidence, independence and positive learning behaviours.
• Provide additional support for pupils with behavioural or learning needs.

Required profile

• Positive, patient and proactive attitude.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Reliability, professionalism and willingness to learn.
• Genuine passion for supporting young people.
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.
