Teaching Assistant – Primary School (Rochdale)

About the role
The Supply Register Ltd, in partnership with St Teresa of Calcutta Academy Trust, is looking for enthusiastic Teaching Assistants to support primary school classrooms in Rochdale. This is a long‑term, full‑time position working directly with pupils across early years and key stages 1 and 2.
Key responsibilities
- Provide one‑to‑one and small‑group support for children with Special Educational Needs (SEN).
- Assist the class teacher with lesson preparation, classroom management and student engagement.
- Help create an inclusive, supportive learning environment.
- Maintain accurate records of pupil progress and support activities.
Required profile
- Previous experience in a primary school setting.
- Experience supporting SEN pupils, either individually or in small groups.
- Relevant Teaching Assistant qualification (Level 2 or above is desirable).
- Willingness to obtain or hold a valid DBS check on the update service.
