Teaching Assistant – Primary School (Romford)

About the role

Prospero Teaching is looking for a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join a warm, supportive primary school in Romford from September. This full‑time, long‑term position offers the chance to work directly with young learners and develop your career in a nurturing environment.

Key responsibilities

• Provide classroom support to the teacher across the primary age range.
• Assist with behaviour management and create a positive learning atmosphere.
• Support pupils individually and in small groups to reinforce lesson content.
• Help prepare teaching materials and maintain classroom organisation.
• Follow safeguarding procedures and report any concerns promptly.

Required profile

• Experience supporting children in a UK primary school (placements accepted).
• Relevant TA training or qualifications (desirable).
• Up‑to‑date safeguarding training issued within the last year (desirable).
• Right to work in the UK and an enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).
• Two professional child‑related references.
