About the role
We are looking for a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join a well‑resourced primary school in Redbridge, supporting pupils with special educational needs (SEN). The role starts in September 2026 on a full‑time, term‑time basis and offers the chance to make a tangible difference to children’s learning and wellbeing.
Key responsibilities
- Provide one‑to‑one and small‑group support to pupils with SEN, including ADHD, autism, SEMH and other identified needs.
- Assist the class teacher and SENCO in planning and delivering tailored activities.
- Promote positive behaviour, confidence and independence among pupils.
- Help manage classroom routines and ensure a safe, inclusive environment.
- Maintain accurate records of pupil progress and support interventions as required.
Required profile
- Genuine passion for working with children who have additional needs.
- Enthusiastic, reliable and eager to learn new strategies.
- Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, therapists and families.
- Willingness to undertake further training and professional development.

What we offer
- Permanent contract with a salary range of £26,000‑£34,000 pro‑rated.
- Term‑time schedule (Monday‑Friday, 8:30 am‑3:30 pm).
