Teaching Assistant – Primary School (SEN) – Redbridge

About the role

We are looking for a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join a well‑resourced primary school in Redbridge, supporting pupils with special educational needs (SEN). The role starts in September 2026 on a full‑time, term‑time basis and offers the chance to make a tangible difference to children’s learning and wellbeing.

Key responsibilities

• Provide one‑to‑one and small‑group support to pupils with SEN, including ADHD, autism, SEMH and other identified needs.
• Assist the class teacher and SENCO in planning and delivering tailored activities.
• Promote positive behaviour, confidence and independence among pupils.
• Help manage classroom routines and ensure a safe, inclusive environment.
• Maintain accurate records of pupil progress and support interventions as required.

Required profile

• Genuine passion for working with children who have additional needs.
• Enthusiastic, reliable and eager to learn new strategies.
• Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, therapists and families.
• Willingness to undertake further training and professional development.
