About the role
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to support a primary classroom in West Leeds. The role involves working closely with the class teacher to create a positive learning environment for pupils.
Key responsibilities
- Assist the classroom teacher in delivering lesson plans and curriculum.
- Support individual students or small groups with academic tasks.
- Supervise pupils during independent work and classroom activities.
- Provide assistance to students with special needs or disabilities.
- Participate in staff meetings and professional development sessions.
- Carry out additional duties as directed by the teacher or school administration.
Required profile
- Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant or in a similar educational role.
- Strong understanding of child development and learning theories.
- Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet diverse student needs.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Capability to work both independently and as part of a team.
