Teaching Assistant – Primary Schools (Cambridge area)

About the role
We are looking for enthusiastic Teaching Assistants to support primary‑school classrooms in Cambridge and surrounding areas. This full‑time, temporary position starts in September 2026 and offers the chance to make a real difference to young learners.
Key responsibilities
- Assist teachers in delivering engaging lessons.
- Work with small groups and individual pupils to support learning.
- Prepare and organise classroom materials and resources.
- Encourage positive behaviour and student engagement.
- Support pupils with varying learning needs.
- Help create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment.
Required profile
- Previous experience working with children (desirable).
- Positive, patient, and proactive attitude.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one.
- Relevant education or childcare qualifications are advantageous but not essential.
