Teaching Assistant – Primary Schools (Leeds)

About the role

Reed Education is partnering with a Multi‑Academy Trust to recruit Teaching Assistants for primary schools in Leeds on a short‑term basis. You will support individual pupils or small groups throughout the school day, helping them achieve their learning goals.

Key responsibilities

• Preparing the classroom for each session alongside the class teacher.
• Providing one‑to‑one or small‑group support to pupils who need extra help.
• Assisting teachers with planning learning activities and completing records.
• Supporting behaviour management and maintaining a positive classroom environment.

Required profile

• Patient and able to build strong relationships with children.
• Empathetic, approachable, kind and caring.
• Understanding of safeguarding policies in a school setting.
• Experience working with special‑needs pupils.
• Good behaviour management skills.
