Teaching Assistant – Psychology Graduates Welcome

About the role

We are looking for enthusiastic Psychology graduates to join primary schools in Haringey as Teaching Assistants from September 2026. This role offers the chance to turn academic knowledge into practical classroom support, working with children across EYFS, KS1 and KS2.

Key responsibilities

• Support pupils with SEND, including ASD, ADHD, speech & language needs and SEMH.
• Work one‑to‑one and with small intervention groups to reinforce learning.
• Assist class teachers in delivering engaging lessons.
• Promote positive behaviour, inclusion and pupil confidence.
• Collaborate with teachers, SENCOs and specialist staff.
• Take part in daily supply and longer‑term teaching assistant placements.

Required profile

• Recent graduate in Psychology or related discipline.
• Passion for child development and education.
• Willingness to work with diverse needs and support inclusive practice.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
