Teaching Assistant – Psychology Student (Bristol)

About the role

Hanson Recruitment is seeking psychology students or recent graduates to work as Teaching Assistants in schools across Bristol. The role is designed to fit around university timetables, offering flexible, well‑paid support during term‑time school hours.

Key responsibilities

• Provide dedicated support to individual pupils and assist the whole class.
• Help pupils progress academically and develop socially‑emotional skills.
• Collaborate with classroom teachers and other staff to create an inclusive learning environment.
• Assist with behaviour management and follow all safeguarding, health and safety policies.

Required profile

• Experience working with children in any capacity (e.g., sports, volunteering).
• Currently studying for or holding a Psychology degree or equivalent qualification.
• Good organisational and communication abilities.
• Availability to work 08:30‑15:30 on weekdays during term‑time.

• Pay rate of £90‑£100 per day (6.5 hours), paid via PAYE.
