Teaching Assistant – Secondary (Key Stage 3 & 4)

About the role
We are supporting a well‑regarded secondary school in Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire. The permanent Teaching Assistant will join the SEN team, working with Key Stage 3 and 4 pupils in a child‑centred, inclusive environment.
Key responsibilities
- Assist the class teacher in delivering lessons to whole‑class, small‑group and one‑to‑one sessions.
- Prepare classroom materials, resources and learning areas.
- Support classroom management to maintain a positive, inclusive atmosphere.
- Monitor and record pupil progress and behaviour, providing feedback to teachers.
- Promote social and emotional development of pupils.
Required profile
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Patience, empathy and flexibility when working with diverse learning needs.
- Commitment to inclusion, equality and pupil well‑being.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with senior leadership, teaching staff and the wider school community.
