Teaching Assistant – Secondary School (East London)

About the role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join a top secondary school. The role is ideal for someone who wants to be part of a supportive inclusion team, working alongside outstanding teachers to help students achieve their full potential.

Key responsibilities

• Support students across KS3 and KS4, including those with Special Educational Needs.
• Provide classroom and small‑group assistance to keep learners engaged and progressing.
• Work closely with teachers and the wider inclusion team to deliver a calm, purposeful learning environment.
• Build positive relationships with students and staff.
• Assist both in‑lesson and out‑of‑lesson activities.

Required profile

• Experience as a Teaching Assistant or in a similar support role.
• Previous experience supporting students with SEND, preferably in a secondary school.
• Confidence to support secondary‑aged students academically and pastorally.
• Excellent communication, teamwork and a reliable, positive attitude.
• Full‑time availability, long‑term commitment and ability to travel to Redbridge daily.
