About the role
Prospero Teaching is recruiting a Teaching Assistant to support pupils in a secondary school in Liverpool. The role is full‑time, temporary (long‑term) starting September 2026, providing both academic and emotional assistance to students.
Key responsibilities
- Assist teachers with lesson preparation, set up equipment and organise materials.
- Support students during lessons and help maintain a positive learning environment.
- Manage behaviour and promote good conduct in the classroom.
- Provide emotional support and monitor pupils’ well‑being, reporting concerns as needed.
- Follow safeguarding procedures and collaborate closely with teachers.
Required profile
- Teaching Assistant qualification or higher/equivalent (desirable).
- Previous experience working with young people.
- Right to work in the UK.
- Enhanced DBS certificate (or willingness to obtain one) registered with the online update service.
- At least two professional references covering the last 24 months.
