Teaching Assistant – Secondary School (Full‑time)

About the role

We are looking for a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join a secondary school in Keswick on a full‑time basis. The role starts in September and involves supporting pupils individually or in small groups to enhance their learning, behaviour and social development.

Key responsibilities

• Provide one‑to‑one or small‑group assistance to pupils, adapting support to their individual needs.
• Collaborate closely with teachers to implement tailored learning strategies.
• Help create a safe, inclusive and supportive classroom environment.
• Monitor and record pupil progress, sharing feedback with teachers and parents as required.

Required profile

• Demonstrated reliability, commitment and a genuine interest in working with young people.
• Compassionate, trustworthy, polite and good listening abilities.
• Strong interpersonal skills, punctuality, patience and confidence when interacting with children.
• Previous experience in a similar role is advantageous but not essential.
