Teaching Assistant – Secondary School (Full‑time)

About the role

Reeson Education is supporting a large mainstream secondary school in Croydon that is looking for an enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join the team from September 2026. The role involves supporting students with moderate learning difficulties across a range of subjects and year groups.

Key responsibilities

• Create and maintain a purposeful, orderly, and supportive classroom environment in line with lesson plans.
• Assist students with learning activities and use tailored strategies, in liaison with the teacher, to help them achieve learning goals.
• Support the planning and delivery of learning activities.
• Establish constructive relationships with students, adapting interaction to individual needs.

Required profile

• Enthusiastic and committed to helping each student reach their full potential.
• Prior experience in a secondary school setting or a recent graduate aiming to become a qualified teacher.
• Experience or interest in supporting pupils with special educational needs (SEN).
• Excellent interpersonal and listening skills.
