Teaching Assistant – Secondary School (Full‑time)

About the role

We are partnering with a welcoming secondary school in Hammersmith and Fulham to find a dedicated Teaching Assistant. The role starts full‑time in September 2026 and offers the chance to support young people in a safe, inclusive learning environment.

Key responsibilities

• Assist teachers in delivering engaging lessons and classroom activities.
• Provide targeted one‑to‑one or small‑group support to pupils.
• Help develop students' confidence, independence and positive learning habits.
• Support academic, social and emotional needs of learners.
• Promote positive behaviour and maintain a welcoming classroom atmosphere.
• Prepare resources and assist with daily classroom organisation.
• Collaborate with staff to monitor and support student progress.

Required profile

• Previous experience working with children or young people (desirable).
• Genuine passion for supporting students and improving outcomes.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Caring, patient and proactive attitude.
• Ability to build positive relationships with students and staff.
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.
• Right to work in the UK.
