Teaching Assistant – Secondary School (Hammersmith & Fulham)

About the role

This full‑time Teaching Assistant position offers recent graduates invaluable classroom experience in a thriving secondary school in Hammersmith and Fulham, West London. You will work alongside experienced teachers and the SENDCo, supporting pupils across Key Stages 3 and 4 while developing the skills needed for future teacher‑training programmes.

Key responsibilities

• Provide academic and pastoral support to individual students and small groups (Years 7‑11).
• Assist teachers in delivering lessons across a variety of subject areas.
• Collaborate with the SENDCo to support pupils with additional needs.
• Develop classroom management and behaviour‑support techniques.
• Contribute to a positive learning environment and school community.

Required profile

• Holder of a university degree in any discipline.
• Interest in pursuing a career in teaching or education.
• Experience working with young people (volunteering, tutoring, coaching, etc.).
• Enthusiastic, proactive, and eager to learn.
• Ability to commit to a full‑time role for the academic year.
