Teaching Assistant – Secondary School (Islington)

About the role

We are looking for a dedicated Teaching Assistant to support a welcoming secondary school in Islington, North London. The role starts in September 2025 and is term‑time only, offering a daily rate of £95‑£105. You will work closely with teachers and students to help create a positive learning environment.

Key responsibilities

• Provide classroom support across a range of subjects.
• Assist students individually or in small groups to reinforce learning.
• Prepare and organise classroom resources and materials.
• Help manage classroom behaviour and promote a constructive atmosphere.
• Support pupils with additional needs to ensure full access to the curriculum.

Required profile

• Patient, proactive and adaptable.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Passion for education and supporting young people.
• Willingness to obtain an enhanced DBS on the update service.
• Experience with secondary‑aged students is desirable but not essential.
