Teaching Assistant – Secondary School

About the role

We are recruiting a Teaching Assistant for a welcoming secondary school in Bracknell, starting September 2026. The role supports students both inside and outside the classroom, helping them achieve their full potential in a supportive, inclusive environment.

Key responsibilities

• Assist teachers across a range of subjects, preparing resources and supporting classroom activities.
• Work with individual pupils and small groups to reinforce learning and improve outcomes.
• Provide additional support for students with learning needs, helping to remove barriers to achievement.
• Support classroom management and promote positive behaviour.
• Encourage student engagement, confidence and independence.
• Contribute to pastoral care and wellbeing initiatives.

Required profile

• Experience working with children or young people, preferably in an educational setting.
• Positive, patient and flexible attitude.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to build effective relationships with students, staff and parents.
• Genuine passion for supporting young people’s educational development.
