Teaching Assistant – Secondary School (Leeds)

About the role
Prospero Teaching is seeking a full‑time Teaching Assistant to join a vibrant secondary school in Leeds from September 2026. You will work closely with teachers to support pupils across Key Stages 3 and 4, helping them achieve academic progress and personal development.
Key responsibilities
- Assist teachers in delivering engaging lessons and provide one‑to‑one or small‑group support.
- Implement and maintain consistent behaviour management strategies.
- Encourage positive attitudes towards learning and monitor student progress.
- Support pupils with additional learning and behavioural needs.
- Help create a safe, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment.
Required profile
- Previous experience working with young people in a school, college, youth work, sports coaching, or mentoring setting.
- Strong behaviour management skills and the ability to remain calm and professional in challenging situations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Passion for supporting young people to succeed.
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.
